The brand
In 1857, Charles Toulet, a furniture maker, opened a billiard workshop in northern France. In 1992 the company developed the billiard table that converts into a dining table and, since 2010, has also made table football, table tennis tables and shuffleboards.
Everything is drawn, designed and assembled in the Bondues workshops, to order. Maison Toulet has held the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label since 2010.
Maison Toulet tables
Here is what Maison Toulet makes, with the names of its models. The wood, the cloth and the finishes are chosen before manufacture.
French, American, 8 pool, snooker: Toulet makes every game, from 1.90 m to 3.80 m depending on the model. The billiard tables fall into four collections, from Essentiel to Galerie, which gathers the one-off pieces.
A top sits on the billiard table, without tools, and turns it into a dining table for six to twelve people, depending on the model. Toulet developed this principle in 1992.
Made to stay outdoors, under a pergola or by a pool: rust-treated frame, UV-resistant cloth. The Bubbly Outdoor is in rot-proof exotic wood, with drilled pockets to let water drain away.
Design, classic, vintage or outdoor, all made to order. You choose the colour of the cabinet, the pitch and the markings. A top can turn it into a table.
Shuffleboard is played by two, sliding pucks along a long lane. Toulet makes it to measure, from 2.80 m to 7 m.
The materials
The playing surface is slate: 19 mm in a single block, or 30, 50 or 60 mm in three pieces depending on the table size. It comes from Italy or Brazil.
Moabi, walnut, oak, teak, or another species on request.
Competition cloths, Simonis, Strachan or Hainsworth depending on the game.
A jack under each leg levels the table, and a pad protects the floor.
Toulet advises 1.20 to 1.40 m clear all around the billiard table. Near an obstacle, a short 100 or 110 cm cue is enough.
Wood species and colour, legs, cloth colour, leather pockets: an online configurator lets you build your table.
In its terms of sale, Toulet guarantees the flatness of the playing surface on tables with a metal structure, as long as only its own teams have dismantled or moved the table. No duration is stated.
This information is what Maison Toulet publishes on its website, consulted on 12 October 2026. Warranties are the manufacturer's, on its terms.
