LumiDesign supplies and installs brise-soleil from French manufacturer Tellier Brise-Soleil in Corsica.
The brand
Tellier Brise-Soleil designs and manufactures brise-soleil, sliding shutters and façade cladding in Chemillé-en-Anjou, Maine-et-Loire. The company was founded in November 2004 and has been part of the Adexsi group since 2018.
Each order is studied to measure, calculations included, then made in the workshop and delivered ready to install. Tellier says it carries out around 1,000 projects a year.
Tellier products
A brise-soleil is fitted outside, in front of or above the window. Here is what Tellier makes, with the names of its ranges.
The WOOD’LIGNE range carries timber slats on aluminium or stainless steel fixings. On its website Tellier presents a canopy of this type installed by LumiDesign as its first project in Corsica: high-temperature treated poplar slats, over 22 m long.
Extruded aluminium slats, fixed or adjustable, fitted horizontally as a canopy or vertically in front of the façade. AZUR slats have an aerofoil profile, RECTI’LIGNE slats are rectangular.
Aluminium-framed panels filled with slats that slide in front of a window, balcony or loggia. They also come fixed or folding. The AUSTRALE range is made for homes, BORÉALE for large formats.
Two-piece aluminium slats that clip onto each other: no fixings are visible. Tellier also makes window surround frames and louvred cladding, which hide technical equipment while letting air through.
What sets it apart
150 extruded profiles in the catalogue, in anodised, powder-coated or wood-effect finishes.
High-temperature treated spruce, poplar, ash or fraké, Accoya, Kebony: the timbers of the WOOD’LIGNE range.
Horizontally, as a canopy above the window; vertically, with horizontal or upright slats.
Adjustable slats tilt to control the light, down to darkness with the slats closed. Tellier also makes raisable slatted blinds, the MOBIL’LIGNE range.
For a wooden brise-soleil, its strength is backed by a structural calculation that accounts for wind, snow and seismic risk.
Finishes are certified Qualicoat, Seaside, Qualimarine, Qualidéco or Qualanod as appropriate. On the Corsican project Tellier features, the fixings were given a Qualimarine coating.
Made to measure in the workshop, assembled and tested before dispatch if the project requires it.

Tellier makes both. The aluminium comes in 150 profiles, anodised, powder-coated or wood-effect. The WOOD’LIGNE range carries real timber slats (spruce, poplar, ash, fraké, Accoya, Kebony) on aluminium or stainless steel fixings.
Fitted as a canopy above a window, a fixed brise-soleil blocks the high summer sun and lets in the low winter sun. Adjustable slats add control of the light throughout the day. Our page on brise-soleil explains how to choose.
Tellier states its finishes are certified Qualicoat, Seaside or Qualimarine as appropriate. On the Corsican project it features, the fixing parts were given a Qualimarine coating, designed for the seaside.
