LumiDesign project in Corsica: made-to-measure bioclimatic pergola, blinds and outdoor fit-out Casa Marcuri

The Casa Marcuri photo story was shot at sunset. The pergola’s light strip comes on at dusk, under a pink and violet sky. In another view, the sun sets over the top of the louvres and the structure stands in silhouette against the gulf. So here a bioclimatic pergola is seen from above and in the evening, with its louvred roof and the LED lighting that lets you stay outside later. During the day, the same louvres tilt to set the shade and light, and close to shelter the terrace.

The story on the sheet lists made-to-measure interior and exterior blinds. The photographs in the story, taken at dusk, do not show them. A blind is made to the measure of its opening, inside or out. You lower it when the sun is a nuisance and raise it when you no longer need it. It controls brightness and heat and screens you from being overlooked, while keeping the view whenever you wish. The outdoor furniture at Casa Marcuri does not appear in the photographs, which are framed on the roof at sunset. The sheet lists it as bespoke outdoor furniture. At LumiDesign, outdoor fit-out means furnishing what the shade protects: a dining area, a lounge space, sunloungers.
