A terrace in Corte is lived in fully in summer, then spends the winter in the cold. We design it with you for both seasons: a place to eat and rest, and somewhere to put everything away when the weather turns.

Outdoor fit-out in Corte

What changes in Corte.

Bronze bioclimatic pergola with louvres on a paved terrace, against a stone house: large wooden table, woven chairs, outdoor kitchen, potted olive trees; in the background, a hilltop town, a citadel on its rock and mountains.

  1. The slope

A terrace won from the slope.

Around Corte, gardens step down in terraces and village houses rarely have flat ground. The design starts from there: where to put the table so it is level, how to get through, where to place the lounge to see the valley without taking the sun full on.

We build wooden decks, dining areas, lounge spaces, planting and outdoor storage. We come to see the site, we measure, we look at the access, which sometimes decides what can be carried up a narrow lane; then we design the proposal with you.

  2. The furniture

    Furniture for the warm season.

Kettal furniture is made of aluminium, teak and durable fabrics: lounge sets, tables, sun loungers. For stretched seats and cushions, Serge Ferrari makes Batyline, for which it highlights resistance to abrasion and UV, and easy care.

For shade over the table, a Jardinico parasol is chosen together with its spot and its base, in granite, sandstone, concrete or steel. The manufacturer asks for it to be closed as soon as the wind gets up: in Corte, when a summer storm is brewing, that is the first thing to do.

    See the Kettal furniture

  3. Winter

    When the cold arrives.

Winter is cold in the centre of the island and the terrace gets less use. It is the time to bring in the cushions, close the parasol for good and shelter whatever needs it. Well-placed outdoor storage, planned from the first drawing, saves carrying everything down to the cellar.

The rest of the design goes with the shade you choose: a bioclimatic pergola over the dining area, a sail over the courtyard, an awning on the balcony. We think it all through at once, so that everything fits the space and follows the seasons.

Your questions, our answers.

Do you carry out outdoor design work in Corte?

Yes, in Corte and in the villages in the centre of the island. Our showroom is in Porticcio, near Ajaccio, and we work throughout Corsica. We come to see your terrace or garden, we design the proposal with you, then our team carries out the work.

How do you lay out a sloping terrace in Corte?

By starting from the ground: the levels, the way through, the view, the afternoon sun. We build wooden decks, dining areas, lounge spaces, planting and outdoor storage. See our page onoutdoor fit-out.

Which outdoor furniture for a house in Corte?

Furniture that stands up to the strong summer sun, and a place to store it in winter. We offer Kettalfurniture, in aluminium, teak and durable fabrics, Jardinicoparasols, and made-to-measure furniture.

What should you do with outdoor furniture in winter in Corte?

We plan with you where to store the cushions and small pieces, for example in outdoor storage designed along with the terrace. What can stay outside depends on the materials and the location: we look at it during the technical visit.

How much does outdoor design cost in Corte?

Each project is made to measure: its price depends on the area, the materials and the furniture. We price it on quotation, after the technical visit.

How can I contact you to discuss my sun protection or outdoor design project?

Our team answers your questions and presents our services. You can reach us in three ways:

Why choose a bespoke outdoor fit-out?

With a bespoke outdoor fit-out, you use all of your space, to suit your needs and your style. Everything can be personalised. Your garden, terrace or patio becomes more beautiful and more practical, and it is made for you.

What types of outdoor fit-out do you offer?

We create wooden decks, pergolas, lounge areas, outdoor dining areas, bespoke planting and outdoor storage. Every project is tailored to your expectations.

How do I know if my outdoor space is suitable for a bespoke fit-out?

During a consultation, our experts assess your outdoor space: its size, its shape and how you want to use it. We then advise you on the most comfortable and practical layout.
