Outdoor fit-out in Propriano

A day outdoors

From the beach to dinner on the terrace.

The morning at the beach, lunch in the shade, a siesta, then dinner facing the gulf as the sun sets: in summer, life happens outdoors. Before talking about furniture, we look with you at where each moment belongs.
At midday, the table needs solid shade; loungers and sofas move with the time of day. After the technical visit, we lay out these areas and what covers them: pergola, awning or sail. The configurator helps you sketch the whole scheme in 3D.

The furniture

Furniture that stays outside all summer.

Full sun and salt air quickly wear out fragile materials. The Kettal collections combine aluminium, teak and sturdy fabrics, in modular pieces assembled to suit the space: sofas, tables, loungers.
Serge Ferrari’s Batyline covers sling seats, loungers and cushions; the manufacturer points out that it resists UV and wear and is easy to clean. When you reopen the house at the start of summer, cushions that are quickly restored save time.

Parasols

Shade you move as the day goes on.

A cantilever parasol leaves the table free of any pole. The JCP.3 by Jardinico, a Belgian brand based in Kortrijk, slides along its pole on a runner and turns through 360° without moving the base. For a large pool deck, the JCP.6 brings two canopies together on a single pole.
The manufacturer states the maximum wind each model can take, and asks for the parasol to be folded at the first gust. Its bases come in granite, sandstone, concrete or steel; by a pool, which is more exposed, the manufacturer recommends a heavier base.

Your questions, our answers.

Do you design terraces in Propriano?

Yes, in Propriano and throughout the Valinco. We design the whole scheme with you after the technical visit, then our team installs it. For sun protection alone, see the Propriano page.

What outdoor furniture suits a house by the sea?

Materials that stand up to sun and salt. The Kettal furniture we offer combines aluminium, teak and hard-wearing fabrics. See also our page on outdoor furniture.

Will a parasol stay up on a terrace exposed to the wind?

Every parasol is folded at the first gust of wind. The rest of the time, its stability depends on the base: Jardinico offers bases in granite, sandstone, concrete or steel.

Can shade and furniture be planned together?

That is what we recommend. A pergola, awnings or a shade sail are positioned according to the furniture. Our page onoutdoor fit-out explains the approach.

What budget should I plan for a terrace in Propriano?

It varies with the area, the furniture and the sun protection chosen. We provide it on quotation, after the technical visit.

Why choose a bespoke outdoor fit-out?

With a bespoke outdoor fit-out, you use all of your space, to suit your needs and your style. Everything can be personalised. Your garden, terrace or patio becomes more beautiful and more practical, and it is made for you.

What types of outdoor fit-out do you offer?

We create wooden decks, pergolas, lounge areas, outdoor dining areas, bespoke planting and outdoor storage. Every project is tailored to your expectations.

How do I know if my outdoor space is suitable for a bespoke fit-out?

During a consultation, our experts assess your outdoor space: its size, its shape and how you want to use it. We then advise you on the most comfortable and practical layout.
